Meet Ryan
Ryan Bliss has practiced North Carolina workers’ compensation law for nearly 20 years, representing injured workers, employers, and insurance carriers. A Board Certified Specialist in Workers’ Compensation Law, Ryan has participated in more than 1,500 mediations as counsel and understands what each side needs to reach an efficient, mutually agreeable resolution.
As a mediator, Ryan brings that experience to the table with a straightforward, approachable style. He believes the best mediations start with good listening, honest conversations, and a little persistence—and that even difficult cases can often find a path forward when everyone is willing to talk.
Ryan earned his J.D. from the University of North Carolina School of Law in 2008 and focuses his mediation practice exclusively on North Carolina workers’ compensation cases. Mediations are conducted via Zoom, with in-person meetings available when needed.
When he’s not mediating, Ryan is a dad and musician. He lives in Cary with his family and their cat, Max.
Let’s Work Together

Mediation: $350 per hour
Administrative fee: $350 per mediation
Minimums: two hours for a half day, four hours for a full day
In-person travel: $350 per hour beyond 45 miles of Raleigh
Postponement or cancellation: $150 more than 30 days out, $350 within 30 days
